Each time we are lucky enough to visit Italy, we plan a stop over in Milan at the StarHotels-Anderson. Located a few steps from Milano Centrale (central train station), the hotel offers a great night’s sleep, wonderful bar, and tasty items in the restaurant. Best of all, we’ve become friends with Giovanni, who manages the Black Bar and Restaurant, as well as with Chef Angelo and his team in the kitchen.
Last visit, we were delighted to have a pre-dinner cocktail with light snacks at the bar. Chef Angelo makes us a little treat for “tua piacere” and we gladly accept, as we’ve never been disappointed.
Did I mention that Giovanni makes THE BEST Cosmo? Indeed!

For dinner, Hubby selected “gamberi” (shrimp) with carrots and zucchini – colorfully decorated with the special touch of Chef Angelo…..delish!
Feeling like something light, I went for the branzino with potatoes and thyme. Entirely too simple to be that flavorful. How does he do that?!? Chef magic, no doubt.
In case you crave a light ending to this fabulousness, we have JUST the ticket….the perfect ending to yet another perfect meal – but that’s for next time. Until then…
